During March 2026, Version_2.1@mail.ru developed Yandex Cloud text embedding support for the milvus-io/milvus repository, enabling Milvus to leverage YC-based embeddings. Their work involved backend development in Go, focusing on API integration and robust unit testing. They introduced configuration updates and a mock YC embedding service, allowing end-to-end testing without external dependencies. The implementation extended the text embedding provider logic to recognize Yandex Cloud and handle unsupported providers gracefully.
