Contributed to the aws/serverless-application-model repository by enhancing the Cognito User Pool resource model to support additional authentication and configuration properties. The work involved implementing new fields such as EmailAuthenticationMessage, EmailAuthenticationSubject, UserPoolTier, WebAuthnRelyingPartyID, and WebAuthnUserVerification, aligning the model more closely with CloudFormation capabilities. Developed a new test template in YAML to validate these enhancements, ensuring robust integration and correctness. Leveraged expertise in AWS Cognito, CloudFormation, and the SAM Translator, using Python and YAML to deliver the feature. The contribution focused on expanding authentication options and improving resource model flexibility within the serverless application framework.
