Worked on the TACC/WMA-Tapis-Templates repository to enhance the archive extraction workflow by developing new scripting solutions in bash and shell scripting. The main contribution involved updating the extract express script to automatically organize extracted files into dedicated folders named after each archive, improving data management and clarity. Additionally, explicit handling for unsupported file extensions was introduced, providing users with informative feedback and reducing the need for manual debugging. These enhancements increased the robustness and maintainability of the extraction process, streamlining downstream workflows and ensuring more reliable data processing for users working with diverse archive formats.
