Motya Edu focused on security and maintenance of the CVAT UI infrastructure, working within the cvat-ai/cvat repository. Over two months, Motya upgraded the UI’s Dockerfile Nginx base image twice, first to 1.28.0-alpine3.21-slim to address end-of-life concerns, and later to 1.29.2-alpine3.22-slim to remediate CVE-2025-58050 by including PCRE2 10.46. These updates improved the security posture and ensured ongoing patching without introducing regressions or breaking CI pipelines. Motya’s work demonstrated depth in containerization, DevOps, and security patching, with careful attention to traceability, documentation, and compatibility across deployment environments using Dockerfile and related tooling.
