Worked on the prezly/theme-nextjs-bea repository to deliver a privacy-compliant cookie consent management feature using React and TypeScript within a Next.js environment. The implementation integrated OneTrust Cookie Consent Management, focusing on accurate user consent handling and preventing duplicate analytics event triggers during page load. This approach ensured that event tracking aligned with user consent, reducing stray analytics events and supporting data integrity. The work demonstrated end-to-end capability in adapting the codebase for privacy compliance, front-end feature integration, and seamless consent flow. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on delivering this targeted feature enhancement for the Bea theme.
