Worked on enhancing documentation quality for the matplotlib and PrefectHQ/prefect repositories, focusing on backend development and Python. Addressed two documentation bugs by aligning docstrings with actual function signatures, specifically correcting parameter names and removing outdated entries. In matplotlib, updated the PDF/PS backend’s CharacterMapping.add method documentation to accurately reflect its glyph_index parameter. For PrefectHQ/prefect, improved server module documentation to reduce onboarding friction and minimize API misuse. No functional code changes were introduced, but the work established a maintainable baseline for future documentation updates, supporting better developer experience and ensuring commit-level traceability for ongoing and future contributions.
