Worked on refining localization for the OsmAnd-iOS repository, focusing on improving the Hungarian translation of the map widget’s distance label. Utilized the Weblate translation workflow to update the user-facing text from a literal phrase to 'Szemmagasság', enhancing clarity for Hungarian users without altering production code or app logic. Applied internationalization and localization skills to ensure the translation accurately reflected the intended meaning in the user interface. The work addressed a specific UX issue by minimizing ambiguity in the Hungarian language context, demonstrating careful attention to detail and risk management in the translation process for iOS applications.
