Worked on enhancing certificate management in the SatelliteQE/robottelo repository by implementing a Certificate Key Usage Compliance Update. Focused on updating the OpenSSL configuration file, openssl.cnf, to enforce proper key usage and extended key usage settings, including digitalSignature, keyEncipherment, serverAuth, and clientAuth, in accordance with project documentation and compliance requirements. Leveraged expertise in OpenSSL configuration and certificate policies to improve the reliability and security of certificate generation processes. All changes were tracked through Git for transparency and traceability. The work resulted in a more robust certificate issuance process, aligning technical implementation with documented standards and compliance needs.
