In March 2025, Ejhiko enhanced thedevdojo/wave by developing a focused UI improvement for post author selection within the admin post creation flow. Leveraging PHP, Laravel, and Filament, Ejhiko refactored the author selection interface to display user information more robustly, introducing a fallback mechanism that prioritizes username or email when a name is unavailable. This approach improved the reliability and maintainability of author attribution, reducing errors and streamlining content creation. The work stabilized admin CRUD operations, resulting in smoother workflows and higher data quality. Overall, Ejhiko’s contribution addressed a targeted usability issue with thoughtful backend and UI engineering.
