During November 2024, Elacaille focused on improving documentation for the GitGuardian/ggshield repository by updating the README to clarify that ggshield detects only secrets and not policy breaches. Using Markdown and leveraging strong documentation skills, Elacaille removed references to policy breaks, ensuring that user-facing messaging accurately reflected the product’s capabilities. This targeted update addressed potential user confusion and aimed to reduce unnecessary support inquiries by providing clear, precise information. While no bugs were fixed during this period, the work demonstrated attention to release hygiene and communication quality, resulting in more transparent documentation and improved alignment between product functionality and user expectations.
