Worked on the CURocketEngineering/Avionics repository to deliver two core features focused on improving operator usability and simulation reliability. Enhanced the command-line interface by refining UART newline handling and providing clearer feedback when commands are not recognized, guiding users toward available help. Developed a three-byte acknowledgment protocol with timeout for simulation data injection, reducing the risk of data loss during serial communication. Leveraged C++ and Python to implement robust UART communication and command-line interface development within embedded systems. The work increased operator efficiency, improved data integrity in simulation workflows, and reinforced overall system reliability for automation testing and training scenarios.
