Worked on the luong-komorebi/cargo repository to enhance the reliability of test coverage for network error handling in Rust build systems. Focused on improving the robustness of crate downloads involving proc-macro dependencies by re-enabling and updating a previously ignored test. The approach involved modifying the test to assert a non-zero exit status, ensuring accurate detection and reporting of network failures during artifact dependency resolution. Leveraged skills in build systems and testing to address coverage gaps and improve error capture, resulting in more stable continuous integration workflows and earlier detection of issues related to proc-macro crate downloads in Rust projects.
