Elee Ibsec worked on structural reinforcement for the mini rover bogie system in the UBC-Snowbots/Chassis repository, focusing on mechanical design improvements to enhance durability and mission reliability. Using CAD and mechanical design skills, Elee designed and delivered a thicker BogieAdapter component in SLDPRT format to address potential shear failure modes. The technical approach involved analyzing stress points and proactively increasing material thickness to align with reliability KPIs and reduce the risk of downtime. Although the work spanned one month and involved a single feature, it demonstrated depth in hardware design and a targeted solution to a critical engineering challenge.
