During November 2024, Eline Evjen focused on improving the reliability of the HoiskolensChemikerforening/hc-backend repository by addressing macOS-specific dependency issues. She stabilized package versions for pyOpenSSL, cryptography, and django-classy-tags across base, development, and production environments, using her expertise in Python and dependency management. This work reduced installation and build errors, ensuring smoother onboarding and deployment processes for macOS users. Although the scope was limited to bug fixing rather than feature development, Eline’s targeted approach to Python packaging resolved compatibility problems and contributed to more consistent cross-environment behavior, reflecting a careful and methodical engineering process within the project.
