Developed and integrated the IceStudio Visual FPGA Editor as a new package within the srid/nixpkgs repository, focusing on establishing a complete packaging workflow using Nix and build systems expertise. The work involved fetching IceStudio sources directly from GitHub, configuring all necessary dependencies, and setting up nwjs as the runtime environment. By implementing robust build tools and metadata, the package supports reproducible builds and simplifies future maintenance. This addition enables developers to install and use IceStudio through standard nixpkgs workflows, improving accessibility and laying the groundwork for ongoing updates and extensibility within the Nix package management ecosystem.
