During November 2025, Ellie Li delivered end-to-end Simplified Chinese localization for the Couchers-org/couchers repository, focusing on expanding accessibility for Chinese-speaking users. She translated UI strings, error messages, dashboards, profiles, search features, donation prompts, and community messages using JSON and front end development skills. Her work leveraged Weblate to streamline the translation workflow, ensuring consistency and scalability for future internationalization efforts. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, Ellie’s contributions established a robust foundation for onboarding and retention in new markets. The depth of her work supports ongoing localization and positions the project for efficient future language expansions.
