Worked on the metabrainz/listenbrainz-server repository to deliver a feature enabling flexible track metadata submission through the additional_info field. This update allowed users to include arbitrary keys, broadening the range of metadata that can be associated with tracks and improving correlation with MusicBrainz data. The implementation focused on disciplined API design, with clear documentation and commit messaging to clarify the expanded contract. Using reStructuredText for documentation and applying metadata management skills, the work enhanced data collection capabilities while maintaining compatibility with existing payload schemas. This approach set the foundation for richer downstream analytics and improved future extensibility of the system.
