During November 2025, João Silva developed a dynamic student profile image loading feature for the NIAEFEUP/tts-fe repository. He implemented real-time image sourcing in the Admin Manager by integrating NMEC-based data retrieval, replacing the previous manual image update process. Using React for the frontend and leveraging both JavaScript and TypeScript, João focused on robust data-binding and seamless API integration to ensure accurate and up-to-date student imagery. This work improved administrative efficiency and data reliability, streamlining onboarding and daily tasks. The feature’s traceable commits and clean integration demonstrated a focused, well-scoped engineering effort with clear impact on user experience and workflow.
