Developed and integrated a crate ownership monitoring workflow for the fedimint/fedimint repository, focusing on governance and CI automation. The solution leveraged GitHub Actions, bash scripting, and YAML to perform daily verification of crate ownership against crates.io, ensuring that only designated users maintained control. Automated reporting was implemented to highlight any discrepancies, such as missing or extra owners, directly within the CI job summary. This approach improved accountability and reduced the risk of misownership across the codebase. The work demonstrated a methodical application of DevOps practices, emphasizing automation, cross-repository collaboration, and robust governance for open source project management.
