Worked on the Shopify/product-taxonomy repository over a two-month period, focusing on configuration management and documentation improvements. Streamlined the project by removing unused development configuration files such as .spin and .vscode, and updated the .gitignore to prevent accidental commits of export directories, reducing the risk of misconfigurations and future CI drift. Enhanced user onboarding by updating the README in Markdown to link directly to the latest Product Taxonomy Explorer, ensuring users access the most current taxonomy features. All changes were implemented using YAML and Markdown, emphasizing maintainability and clarity without introducing new bugs or altering core application logic.
