Worked on generating the release notes draft for Kubernetes v1.36.0-alpha.2 in the kubernetes/sig-release repository, focusing on automation-assisted documentation and release management. Leveraged krel-based tooling and the k8s-release-notes-sync utility to produce and update release-notes-draft.json, ensuring accurate mapping of features and fixes from source commits. Addressed pull request feedback to improve conformity and traceability, incorporating sign-off and co-authored-by metadata for transparency. Utilized YAML and JSON to manage structured release data, supporting faster release readiness and clear communication for downstream teams. The work emphasized process-driven documentation quality and streamlined the release notes workflow for Kubernetes stakeholders.
