Worked on the goauthentik/authentik repository to enhance certificate discovery for Kubernetes TLS Secrets, focusing on improving compatibility with cert-manager environments. Developed a feature that expanded support for additional secret formats and refined the discovery logic to ignore non-certificate file types, reducing deployment friction and misconfigurations. Employed Python and back end development skills, along with test-driven development practices, to ensure robust handling of new certificate formats and mounted secrets. Collaborated closely with another contributor to deliver these changes, emphasizing code quality and maintainability. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature development and testing.
