Worked on the georchestra/georchestra-gateway repository to deliver a feature enhancing authentication configurability through flexible OpenID Connect custom claims mapping. This involved extending the OpenIdConnectCustomClaimsConfigProperties to support both configurable fixed values and direct value mapping for roles, organization, and user identifiers, in addition to maintaining JSON path extraction for backward compatibility. The approach streamlined integration with external identity providers and reduced onboarding time for new clients. The work was implemented using Java, with a focus on backend development and Spring Security, and addressed the need for more adaptable OAuth2 authentication workflows without introducing breaking changes or major bugs.
