Worked on the microsoft/vscode repository to enhance the terminal chat widget’s user interface, focusing on theming consistency and improved visibility. Used CSS and front end development skills to implement CSS variable-based border colors, ensuring the widget adapts seamlessly to different VS Code themes. Restored and refined a CSS rule to maintain agent status badge visibility, addressing previous color and readability issues. These changes reduced visual defects and improved theming fidelity, resulting in a more consistent chat experience. The work demonstrated attention to UI polish and effective bug triage, contributing to faster user adoption and reducing potential support queries.
