Em Villa worked on configuration management and data processing for the DUNE/dunesim and DUNE/dunesw repositories, focusing on stabilizing data pipelines and improving simulation reliability. Over two months, Em delivered targeted fixes in FCL to correct neutrino flux identification and ensure proper data file formats, reducing downstream errors and enhancing reproducibility. They also implemented backward compatibility for legacy configuration blocks and streamlined detector setup by introducing new configuration files and simplifying include logic. Em’s work demonstrated careful attention to maintainability and cross-repository consistency, leveraging FCL and version control to address both immediate bugs and longer-term configuration challenges in the workflow.
