Developed and delivered a Baremetal Provisioning CI Step Registry for the openshift/release repository, enabling automated and repeatable CI steps for baremetal provisioning with NMState-managed network bonding. The work involved creating a new CI step registry configuration, implementing supporting Bash scripts, and authoring YAML references to streamline integration with devscripts. By refactoring registry references and correcting configuration paths, the solution improved CI reliability and reduced manual intervention in the provisioning process. Leveraging skills in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Bash, and YAML, the developer enhanced maintainability and speed of CI workflows, aligning the implementation with evolving infrastructure automation requirements.
October 2025 monthly summary for openshift/release: Delivered Baremetal Provisioning CI Step Registry enabling automated CI steps for baremetal provisioning with an nmstate-managed br-ex bond. Implemented a new CI step registry config, including a devscripts-conf-nmstate-brex-bond reference, and added a new command script and step reference YAML. This work aligns with OPNET-708 and includes refactoring to reflect NMState integration and a path fix for reliability. Impact: improves CI reliability and speed for baremetal provisioning, reduces manual steps, and enhances maintainability of CI workflows. Demonstrates YAML-driven CI config, NMState integration, scripting, and version-controlled changes.
