Worked on enhancing the recording lifecycle in the suitenumerique/meet repository, focusing on delivering a more reliable and user-friendly recording experience. Developed an atomic start-recording flow using Django and Python, ensuring that both Recording and RecordingAccess objects are created within a single transaction to prevent orphaned data. Improved error handling by returning precise conflict signals when a recording is already in progress and implemented status transitions for failed starts, enabling seamless retry behavior. These backend development efforts reduced user friction and support overhead, aligning technical improvements with business needs for reliability, data integrity, and clearer user feedback in the recording feature.
