During May 2025, Equinoy developed a targeted feature for the PepperDash/Essentials repository, focusing on device integration and embedded systems using C#. They expanded hardware compatibility by adding support for the mcdge1000 touchpanel within the MobileControlTouchpanelController, enabling the system to recognize and instantiate controllers for this new device type. The implementation involved a clear, traceable commit, ensuring maintainable code and straightforward code reviews. While no major bugs were addressed during this period, Equinoy’s work reduced integration friction for customers and improved onboarding for new hardware, demonstrating depth in embedded systems and a methodical approach to hardware support expansion.
