Erez worked on the awslabs/soci-snapshotter repository, developing an automation script to streamline SOCI deployment in parallel mode. Using Bash and leveraging DevOps and system administration skills, Erez automated the setup process, including downloading binaries, configuring the snapshotter for parallel download and unpack, and integrating systemd service management. This approach reduced manual intervention, improved deployment consistency, and accelerated operational readiness across environments. The work focused on enhancing reliability and repeatability by standardizing installation and configuration steps. Over the month, Erez delivered one feature with no bug fixes, demonstrating depth in shell scripting and deployment automation within a production-oriented workflow.
