Worked on the workos-python repository to deliver support for External IDs and Metadata for both users and organizations, enabling robust identity and metadata associations across entities. The implementation involved refactoring backend APIs to adopt new identifiers and enhanced data modeling, allowing retrieval by external_id and querying by custom identifiers. This update paved the way for richer cross-system identity workflows and improved data association capabilities. The work was completed in Python, leveraging skills in API integration, backend development, and version control. The release culminated in version 5.16.0, ensuring updated dependencies and compatibility with the newly introduced features and workflows.
