Worked on the facebook/fresco repository to enhance encoded image support within the image decoding pipeline. Focused on extending the pipeline’s flexibility by introducing an encoded image request transformer, which allows for more adaptable request handling and improved caching strategies. Implemented logic to populate encoded dimensions for PDC1 images, enabling Fresco to support image formats not natively handled by Android BitmapFactory and improving performance for encoded formats. Collaborated through peer reviews to ensure code quality and integration readiness. Utilized Android development skills with Java and Kotlin, applying image processing expertise to deliver a targeted feature over the course of one month.
