He enhanced the HTML markup by adding a lang attribute to the html tag and an alt attribute to the hero image, directly supporting WCAG 2.1 standards. This targeted fix, implemented using HTML and front end development skills, improved inclusivity for users relying on assistive technologies. Ernesto’s disciplined approach ensured the change was low-risk and well-documented, providing clear traceability for future audits. While the scope was limited to a single bug fix, the work established a foundation for ongoing accessibility improvements.
