Worked on the firedancer-io/firedancer repository to enhance macOS packaging by introducing ARM64-aware improvements, specifically targeting Homebrew package checks for Apple Silicon devices. Addressed compatibility issues on M1 and M2 Macs by updating the packaging flow to include coreutils in the required formulae, ensuring smoother onboarding and more reliable releases for ARM-based environments. Leveraged DevOps practices and shell scripting, primarily using bash, to update the CI and build pipelines for validating ARM64 packaging. This work improved dependency handling between Intel and ARM architectures, stabilized the packaging process, and broadened the supported environments for macOS users within the project.
