Worked on the FusionAuth/fusionauth-site repository to refactor documentation, focusing on standardizing navigation and UI element presentation. The project involved replacing non-semantic strong and UIelement tags with a Breadcrumb component, aligning the documentation with the design system and improving semantic correctness. Using Astro, HTML, and Markdown, the changes enhanced accessibility and maintainability while ensuring consistent navigation paths throughout the documentation. This approach reduced future refactor costs and simplified onboarding for documentation editors. The work demonstrated attention to detail in refactoring and documentation practices, emphasizing maintainable code and improved user experience without introducing new features or addressing bug fixes.
