Etarraneh contributed to the FRBs/FRB repository by enhancing the Pan-STARRS data querying experience and improving authentication error handling. They enabled photometric redshifts by default in the Pan_STARRS_Survey.get_catalog method, making data access more intuitive for users. Using Python and backend development skills, Etarraneh also addressed authentication reliability by refining error handling logic around environment variables. When authentication failed, the updated IOError now guides users to adjust the photoz parameter, reducing confusion and support needs. The work demonstrated a focused approach to usability and robustness, with targeted improvements in environment variable management and error messaging over a two-month period.
