Worked on modernizing and stabilizing the GitHub Actions workflows for the uswds/uswds repository, focusing on improving the reliability of issue-tracking automation. Migrated the existing manual workflow to a GitHub UI managed option, which reduced maintenance overhead and minimized the risk of workflow drift. Employed YAML to define and configure the new automation, and applied version pinning for GitHub Actions to ensure consistent behavior and protect against breaking changes. This approach enhanced the maintainability and resilience of the CI/CD pipeline, demonstrating skills in Continuous Integration, DevOps, and workflow governance while addressing the evolving needs of the repository’s automation processes.
