Developed and delivered a new ECDF Plot Operator for the Texera/texera repository, enabling visualization of cumulative distributions for numeric columns with support for groupings, facets, and multiple display modes. The implementation spanned both backend logic in Scala and frontend rendering using Plotly Express, with Python interoperability managed through EncodableString. Comprehensive unit and integration tests validated the operator’s functionality, including edge cases and parameter combinations, ensuring code safety and reliability. This feature enhances data exploration and cross-group comparison for data scientists and engineers, accelerating insight generation and supporting more informed decision-making within the Texera platform’s analytical workflows.
