Worked on the tianocore/edk2 repository to deliver a targeted bug fix that improved firmware image generation reliability. Addressed a critical issue in FvHandler.py by correcting the size calculation for compressed data, which previously led to image size mismatches and parsing errors in OVMF builds, particularly on AArch64 architectures. The solution involved Python scripting and debugging techniques to ensure accurate size estimation and valid firmware output. This fix also aligned with prior changes for FvHandler padding, maintaining consistency in handling ParTree.Data lengths. The work demonstrated a focused approach to firmware development, emphasizing cross-architecture validation and robust image integrity.
