Worked on the AzureAD/microsoft-identity-web repository to stabilize the RequiredScopeOrAppPermission extension by addressing a bug in its metadata interface. Focused on backend development using C# to restore correct functionality for applications relying on authentication and authorization flows. Enhanced reliability by implementing targeted unit and regression tests, ensuring that application permissions are validated and future regressions are prevented. The approach included improving code quality and providing clear documentation for maintainers and downstream users. This work strengthened the extension’s handling of identity permissions, reduced risk for dependent applications, and contributed to the overall robustness of API development within the project’s authentication framework.
