Worked on enhancing the COCO Panoptic export functionality in the open-edge-platform/datumaro repository by enabling the export of additional segment information attributes for finer instance identification. This involved updating the parsing and export logic in Python, expanding the unit test suite, and revising documentation to ensure the new features were well-supported and maintainable. The improvements focused on increasing dataset usability for sequence-based computer vision tasks, allowing for richer and more detailed instance tracking. Throughout the development process, all changes were validated with comprehensive tests, demonstrating a methodical approach to data processing, software development, and code quality standards.
