During October 2024, Jihwan Kim localized Java API documentation for the mybatis/mybatis-3 repository, focusing on translating previously untranslated content in ko/xdoc/java-api.xml to Korean. This work enhanced accessibility for Korean-speaking developers and improved onboarding by ensuring that technical documentation was available in their native language. Jihwan used XML and documentation tooling to validate that the new translations integrated smoothly with the existing build process, maintaining documentation stability. The project demonstrated skills in localization workflows and internationalization, laying groundwork for future multi-language support. While the scope was limited to documentation, the work addressed a clear need for broader developer accessibility.
