In September 2025, Eda Zapartas enhanced the POSYDON repository by expanding the scalar parameters within the population_params_default.ini configuration file. This work focused on configuration management using INI syntax, enabling users to customize a broader range of simulation settings directly through the config file. By extending the scalar_names lists, Eda facilitated more flexible and reproducible experiments, supporting the POSYDON v2.1.5 release. The changes were closely integrated with the project’s release process and issue tracking, ensuring traceability. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the depth of the configuration improvements provided a robust foundation for future development.
