In September 2025, Eric Zhou developed multi-user select input support for Slack view interactions in the HubSpot/slack-client repository. He designed and implemented a new interface for handling multi-user selections, updated the input type enumeration, and expanded deserialization tests to ensure accurate processing of user selections from Slack’s multi-user dropdowns. Working primarily in Java, Eric focused on backend development and API integration, enhancing the reliability of user input handling. His work improved test coverage and reduced input-parsing errors, enabling richer Slack workflows and more dependable downstream data processing. The feature addressed a clear integration need with thoughtful, well-tested engineering.
