During July 2025, Franz Franz built comprehensive developer documentation for confidence scores in the DS4SD/docling repository. He authored a new Markdown file that explains the purpose, concepts, and types of confidence scores, supplementing the text with an illustrative image. The documentation was fully integrated into the project’s navigation, making it easily accessible for both new and existing contributors. By focusing on clear, structured documentation, Franz leveraged his skills in technical writing and Markdown to improve onboarding and user understanding. Although no bugs were fixed, his work laid a solid foundation for future enhancements to confidence scoring features within the project.
