Fabien Carre developed and enhanced deployment and testing workflows across the pass-culture/pass-culture-app-native and pass-culture/data-gcp repositories, focusing on reliability and environment-specific configuration. He implemented dynamic CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and TypeScript, enabling automatic selection of Firebase and Google Services configurations for different deployment targets. Fabien also improved native app testing by updating CORS settings and introducing PR preview deployments, streamlining feedback and validation. His work included refactoring React Native components with styled-components and markdown parsing, as well as preparing backend systems for SSO integration using Python and flask-openid, demonstrating depth in both frontend and backend engineering practices.

October 2024 was focused on hardening continuous integration and deployment for the native app by delivering an environment-aware Firebase and Google Services configuration pipeline. This work introduces dynamic cloud environment selection (ehp vs prod), environment-specific Firebase secrets naming conventions, and automatic selection and fetch of the correct Firebase service config files for each deployment target. Android and iOS workflows were aligned with staging secrets where appropriate to ensure parity across environments. By integrating these changes, deployments become more reliable, secure, and faster to promote across environments.
