During January 2026, Fireman FWL developed the Bison Language Support Extension for the zed-industries/extensions repository, enabling native Bison language features within the platform. This work involved extension development and submodule management, leveraging Git for version control and TOML for configuration. By collaborating with Finn Evers, Fireman FWL integrated Bison support into the existing framework, reducing integration effort for Bison workflows and expanding the platform’s language coverage. The extension lays a foundation for future language integrations, enhancing the product’s ecosystem potential. The project focused on maintainable code structure and seamless user experience, though the scope was limited to a single feature.
