Worked on the deckhouse/sds-node-configurator repository, delivering four features over three months focused on robust block device management in Linux and Kubernetes environments. Developed a Linux mountinfo parser to improve mount point detection and replaced lsblk-based discovery with a thread-safe, udev-driven DeviceMap, enhancing reliability in multi-tenant and containerized scenarios. Introduced stable-attribute-based matching for legacy block devices, reducing unnecessary churn during hardware changes. Expanded end-to-end test coverage and modularized test infrastructure, leveraging Go for backend development, concurrent programming, and test automation. The work emphasized maintainability, dynamic configuration, and operational stability, supporting smoother deployments and improved device lifecycle management.
June 2026: Delivered a targeted feature enhancement in deckhouse/sds-node-configurator to improve continuity for legacy block devices. Implemented stable-attribute-based matching to recognize and preserve existing devices despite hardware or metadata changes, reducing unnecessary recreation. Added a comprehensive test suite to validate edge cases and ensure regression safety. This work strengthens device reliability, reduces churn in production, and demonstrates robust testing and code quality.

May 2026 delivered a robust in-process block-device discovery layer and refreshed end-to-end testing for the SDS Node Configurator. The work focused on moving from lsblk-based discovery to a netlink/udev data layer, introducing a thread-safe DeviceMap, and enriching discovery events with udev properties. Enhanced test infrastructure and dynamic configuration underpin more reliable deployments and faster feedback loops across lifecycle scenarios.
