Worked on backend development and cloud storage compatibility, contributing to the apache/opendal repository by extending OpenDAL’s OBS service to support Huawei Cloud endpoints ending with .huawei.com, thereby improving reliability for a broader range of users. Applied Python and Rust to implement targeted endpoint construction logic, reducing production failures related to cloud storage interoperability. Later, addressed a multimodal output unpacking issue in the vllm-project/vllm-omni repository, introducing a tensor formatting helper and refining data processing for NPU model runners. This work enhanced end-to-end inference stability for machine learning workloads, demonstrating skills in model optimization, bug fixing, and collaborative code quality maintenance.
