Fayez Ahmed developed secure JWKS-based token validation for the mns-mock-hydration flow within the NHSDigital/identity-service-jwks repository. He focused on configuring Proxygen to validate tokens in a mocked environment, aligning the service with established identity security standards. Using Shell scripting and leveraging his skills in configuration management and DevOps, Fayez set up the necessary JWKS configuration to support consistent and production-ready token validation. This work established a foundation for robust identity checks across services, addressing the need for secure authentication in test environments. Over the month, he delivered this feature with attention to maintainability and alignment with organizational security requirements.
