During this period, contributed a targeted fix to the bitnami/charts repository, focusing on the Thanos Helm chart. Addressed a bug in the storegateway affinity configuration by correcting the labelSelector logic to properly support shard-based scheduling, which improved pod placement reliability and performance for sharded deployments. The solution involved updating YAML templates and applying Kubernetes scheduling concepts to ensure affinity rules aligned with shard keys. This work enhanced operational stability for users deploying Thanos in distributed environments. Demonstrated proficiency in DevOps practices, Helm chart customization, and Kubernetes resource management, with a focus on precise, well-documented code changes and collaborative review.
